Worry

I can't seem to help it. On Friday I noticed that I wasn't feeling any nausea and I began to worry. We had guests all weekend and I quietly worried. Sunday night after the all left I told jason that I hadn't felt nauseous in three days and that I was worried. I had also been getting these weird cramps in my vagina. I was worried that maybe I was miscarrying one or both of the babies. I'm on susten 400 twice a day and I was worried that it would mask a miscarriage. Does anyone know if this is true. If a woman on progesterone suppositories had a miscarriage could it go unnoticed until her next ultrasound? By this morning I had gotten myself into such a tizzy that I called the doc and asked if I could come in. I am happy to report that the beans are just fine. I saw both of their little hearts flickering away. Twin B is really far back and not easy to get a good look at but doc said by 12 weeks we will be able to get a much better look. After we left the office I cried my eyes out. I was so relieved. I want so much to enjoy this pregnancy. If I could only stop worrying so much.

Three weeks until my 12 week scan.

  1. Worrying is just part of the process. We find new things to worry about and drive ourselves crazy about even after they are delivered and sleeping quietly in our arms. I am happy to hear you went in and eased your mind. Many positive thoughts being sent your way.

  2. I just know that I bled through my progesterone. So glad your beans are good, I worried all through my twin pregnancy but we have two healthy boys now.

  3. Oh kate, so glad you had an appt. Amazing what infertility does to us, huh? Sincerely hoping some of the worrying ceases once you hit that 12 week mark. Hugs from India!!! (PS If you get back before I leave we are in some serious trouble!) xoxoxo

  4. Hi Kate -
I've tried to comment unsuccessfully several times on your blog! Congratulations on your pregnancy and I feel for you - I hope that your anxiety will ease soon and that your pregnancy will give you positive energy. I had cramps early in my pregnancies also.

  5. Hi Kate -
I've tried to comment on your blog several times without success. Marya told me that you were expecting twins and also referred me to the blog. First of all, congratulations! The news is exciting, and twins, even! How fortunate that you'll have experienced parents of twins nearby. Secondly, I feel for you. I hope that your anxiety eases with time and that you enjoy the positive energy that pregnancy brings. I, too, had cramps in early pregnancy, and when I told my mother that this worried me, she said, "I never had cramps. Maybe you're miscarrying." Thanks, mom.

  6. Oh, great, I just saw that one of my previous comments DID get published "after approval." So pardon any redundancies. I hope you two are having fun at Murphy Lake, and that it's cooler up there than in "the Cities." If you want to come to the metro area for a change of scene, I have lots of room in my Edina home.
